Apply to be a mentor in the Disability Leadership Programme!
Become a mentor – and accompany a future leader on their journey
In the Disability Leadership Programme, we support committed people with disabilities in taking their place in leadership and creative roles. You play a central part in this – as a mentor.
Why your support is so valuable
With your support, you empower participants to deepen their personal and professional development, consciously reflect on experiences and role models, build self-confidence and self-efficacy, find orientation in working life, and further develop leadership and decision-making skills.
How does the mentoring work?
The mentoring takes place from April 2026 to April 2027. The time commitment is 6 to 12 hours per year, approximately one meeting per month – flexible, depending on availability and agreement. We recommend a joint kick-off meeting of 90 minutes, regular meetings by arrangement (online or in person) and a final meeting of 90 minutes.
What forms of mentoring are there?
· In leadership mentoring experienced leaders from civil society, administration or business accompany a participant on their journey.
· In peer mentoring, people with disabilities accompany other people with disabilities, share experiences, offer encouragement and open up new perspectives.
· In coaching mentoring, professional coaches work together with participants on individual issues.
Each participant takes advantage of at least one mentoring or coaching programme.
Why you should participate
· You strengthen inclusive leadership in Austria.
· You walk a part of the way with committed people.
· You expand your network.
· You gain valuable insights into diversity, accessibility and social change.
